BACKGROUND:

On orders from Faeryl Gereshen before she became Ilharess Gereshen, male's were tested for their speed, strength, agility and intelligence. A suitable male was found and turned to the night. Bitten and trained by Velsereph, Veldrain is now the personal servant of Ilharess Faeryl Gereshen. He has little time to himself but the time he does have he spends studying tactics of battles gone by from the house weapon's master and is seen on a regular basis practicing his skill's of the sword. He is also known to spend a lot of his free time with traders seeking some of the most beautiful art, craft and clothing for Ilharess Faeryl Gereshen. He will even seek magical items, even though only mere trinkets to Ilharess Gereshen anything he can do to please her....he will! Veldrain has become one of the most feared creature's in the Underdark, not for what he is but because only Ilharess Faeryl Gereshen controls him, and with the strength and power he has this make's for a deadly partnership. Veldrain is not one to cross, especially when he is under order's from Ilharess Gereshen.

Well, can't say to much yet as he may be back. Talran is a Vampire who was once human in a city named Nequias on a totally different continent. When he was vamped out he used his sudden gross power to take what wasn't his and sell it to the evil ones. He quickly made allies and has traveled for a long time. He was then drawn to Dellgate by a discovery he made and all may soon be revealed.

POSITION: House Weaponsmaster, High Impoceptor of the Paladins of Lolth

BACKGROUND:

Canaris is one of the most accomplished males in the Drow city of V'elldrinnsshar. Born a noble of House Amerikki, he was trained up to a very high standard at the Academy, and learnt a great deal about surface operations from an instructor named Sarigar. Matron Saravay Gereshen was sufficently impressed with Canaris's skills that she recruited him as her House Weaponsmaster, where he was General, and indeed once Lord General of the Drow surface army, known as The Tarantulas. Sarigar was recruited by Canaris to run the city's surface raiders. Now Canaris is getting older, and whilst still Marshal of the city and High Impocepter of Paladins, he has moved once again, and serves Matron Zypheny as Weaponsmaster of House Tegredir, a close ally of House Gereshen. Most recently he served in The Jhereg as chief bodyguard, and commanded Right Flank battlegroup in the battle of last year. He is currently confined to The Underdark, on the orders of the Spider Queen, for reasons unknown. It does not, however, appear that he is out of Llolth's favour.

OTHER:

Canaris is 5'11", wears his hair long, has a long 'veteren's' moustache, and wears drow meshmail, with a skeleton style breastplate and helmet when in heavy battle. He is famed for his skill with twin scimitars, and almost always carries short sword and knife back-ups. OOC He has been played every year since 1990.

BACKGROUND:

Mourn is, even by Drow standards, apparently deranged. He has killed so many people in his career as Degar's enforcer, that he has been known to kill individuals as a 'reaction' to their proximity, despite them having nothing to do with anything he is involved in !!!! (He would never admit to be startled, but that is what it boils down to !). His principle roles seem to consist of psychological operations against enemies of LVZ (The LT Scouts Guild, for instance), enforcement, and elimination of enemies and those who attempt to cheat or leave LVZ. He is also known to head the mysterious D-Branch, whose operations and parameters are unknown to anyone outside except Degar. His background is shrouded in mystery, almost certainly deliberately, but he does seem to have come from a reasonably high birth, and was trained at the Academy. He is unshakably loyal to Degar, and would likely even disobey a Matron on Degar's orders, although this is not entirely uncommon amongst LVZ members, given their close relationship with the First House. He is irreverent, snide, arrogant and cocky, but unfortunately he is deadly enough to back it all up. Therefore, whilst not as respected as some, he is considered one of the most dangerous and volatile males in the city, after the City Archmage.

OTHER:

Mourn is about 5'11", always dresses in black, but often flamboyant clothes, and carries a long sword, short sword and knives. He will never wear more than chain mail, and dislikes using his natural abilities, preferring to out-think his opponents. He prefers to work alone, or in a small strike team.
